79There are a lot of different places on the internet where you can go and chat or send emails. There is yahoo, aol, gmail, rocketmail, and many others. Then for chatrooms the possibilites are endless. There is facebook, myspace, msn messenger, myspace im, aol messenger, yahoo messenger and then there are millions of chat room as well. In many of these places you will find internet slang. Many people new to the online world have no idea what any of these acronyms mean. It can be very hard, confusing and often stressful if you cant decode the acronyms which were created for quicker, easier typing. So in this hub i will be decoding many of the popular slang terms.
AAK- Alive and Kicking

Those are all the main acronyms. Now hoepfully with that easy to use list you will be able to go into the chatrooms and email confident and ready to chat short hand! Good luck, and believe it or not once you begin to use these they will become very instiled into your head. Just try not to use it in real life! It gets a little freaky then!

Wow...people are becoming even stupid in writing now...its sad
only stupid people who have to do the hunt and peck need to use short hand to send messages. My spelling may suck but at least I can type almost 100 words per minunts. My 17 year old son also knows how to type with out looking and can also type a whole pharagraph by the time his friends get one sentace(cant spell) wrote.
wanna look cool in a chat room, and make everyone think you know what youre doing ? When you type something -- just remove all of the vowels...its annoying, but everyone will understand it.

These abbreviations are cool...but it is also showing how lazy our society is really getting anymore. That is like Schools requiring calculators for children so they dont have to learn to use their brains to add, subtract, multiply, or divide...If a cash register crashes they cannot count change back and that has been going on for the last 10 yrs. at least. Really sad!

I think the internet slang is good for good for people who don't feel like doing all the spelling if u don't like it so what don't do and do worry about it teens do it because they want to it's not because they can't spell or incapable to type fast but they choose to do what they feel is quicker and easier to do!
